There are two dogs in the front, one large white fluffy dog and one smaller brown and black dog. A black banner with a Paw Print and Greek letters, along with a sign that says "Yaga on the Lawn," is displayed behind the group. Traditions &
Social Events

Football
Tailgates

The University of Georgia hosts 7–8 home football games each fall, and Delta Beta proudly hosts a tailgate on our front lawn for each one. The chapter prepares the house and grounds, provides beverages, and often caters meals for select games. Parents and alumni are always welcome to join and cheer on the Bulldogs.

MooCoo
Weekend

In the spring, the chapter hosts our annual band party, MooCoo Weekend, at the house. Named after the famous MooCoo tree on our front lawn—the only White Dutch Elm east of the Mississippi River—MooCoo Weekend has hosted bands such as Pretty Lights, Conspirator, Galactic, Big Gigantic, and Travis Porter. Our band room, the largest on campus, is also where Luke Bryan filmed his first music video for “All My Friends Say.”

Red Carnation Ball
(Spring Formal)

Each year, Delta Beta travels to a new city for our spring formal, the Red Carnation Ball. Past locations have included Charleston, Hilton Head, Savannah, New Orleans, and Nashville. It’s a weekend of brotherhood, dates, and memories.

Theta Chi Socials

We host a full calendar of themed socials each semester, typically pairing with sororities and other organizations. These events provide a fun way to build friendships across campus communities.

Mountain
Weekend

To welcome spring, the chapter spends a weekend in the mountains, often renting cabins in places like Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Mountain Weekend is a favorite tradition that combines brotherhood, the outdoors, and time away together.
